Cruise Planners/American Express, the nation's largest home-based travel agent franchise network in the cruise industry, was named 2010 Travel Agency of the Year by American Express at the company’s annual U.S. Representative Network Conference in Phoenix, Arizona held earlier this fall.
Michelle Fee, CEO and co-founder of Cruise Planners/American Express, accepted the honor from Ellen Bettridge, vice president of the American Express U.S. Retail Travel Network. Every year, American Express honors a top travel agency that showcases superlative representation of the company’s travel brand in client support, business growth and advancement. Cruise Planners has been a part of the American Express Travel Representative Network for the past five years.
“To be recognized as agency of the year by American Express is an absolute honor for us because that is the goal of each home-based agent across the U.S. – to be a travel specialist that the consumer can trust and depend on when it comes to creating their perfect getaway,” said Fee. “We are proud of this award and look forward to another successful year of partnership with American Express.”
In 2010 Cruise Planners has been recognized with awards reflecting its dedication to corporate partnerships and support to the travel industry. Earlier this year, the company was named Platinum Circle member by Viking River Cruises indentifying Cruise Planners as one of Viking’s very best sales producers. In addition, the company received the “Globe Award” from American Express Vacations, earned the Globus “Top Producing Premier Partner” award and was recognized in Oceana Cruises’ Cruise Connoisseur Club.
