As part of an ongoing commitment to offer premium vacation experiences based on guests’ tastes and preferences, Celebrity Cruises is revamping its evening offerings in its “lido,” or primary casual dining, venues. Transitioning away from a sit-down experience and moving toward an “international marketplace” approach featuring a flavorful lineup of food stations, the offerings will blend classic and contemporary cuisine inspired by the popularity of global culinary influences and an ever-increasing number of guests from around the world.
“Since the launch of our Solstice Class in 2008, our guests have shared a great deal of positive feedback about the flavors and variety offered in our marketplace-style Oceanview Café venues, so we are taking that concept to the rest of the fleet,” said Jacques Van Staden, Vice President, Culinary Operations. “We have created a menu that speaks to the tastes of our guests, who are intrigued by the culinary arts and a truly global range of flavors and cooking styles.”
The new evening casual dining service will present a flavorful array of authentic cuisine, including:
Celebrity will no longer offer tableside service in a traditional “sit-down” style during its evening casual dining service.
This change is another testament to the popularity of Celebrity’s Solstice Class ships. Earlier this year, Celebrity announced that it would “Solsticize,” or retrofit, its Millennium Class ships with some of the most compelling features found on the Solstice Class ships.
Celebrity’s evening lido dining service will begin at 6 pm each evening. Celebrity Century, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Summit will transition to the new service by the end of October. The changes will not affect Celebrity Xpedition, the 92-guest megayacht sailing year-round in the Galapagos Islands.
